Earth SOAR

Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations and Results: a forward-looking view built on official goals.

In progress

The SOAR analysis for Earth hasn’t been written yet. Research is under way. Nothing on this page is filled in for the sake of looking complete.

How this SOAR analysis works

For Earth, the Aspirations are goal statements from global agreements such as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Paris Agreement and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, quoted word for word.

SOAR is built from other pages: Strengths and Opportunities link to the SWOT items, and Results are the matching rows of the GAP analysis. Only the Aspirations are new, and they are always quotations.

  • Strengths

  • Opportunities

  • Aspirations

    Official goal statements, quoted

  • Results

Measurable targets, linked from the GAP analysis

Reporting, not recommending. Hawkeye reports; it never recommends. Goals, aspirations and strategies appear only as stated by official or authoritative bodies, quoted or attributed, with a link. Nothing here is Hawkeye’s own view. Every figure links to its source and gives the year it refers to.
